Marty Stone has designed solutions for people with disabilities for over 20 years. He led the development of many speech and remote control technologies as Project Manager and Product Line Manager at AbleNet. Products Marty has assisted Ablenet with include the SuperTalker® communicator, Beamer™ wireless switch , BookWorm™, LITTLEmack line, BIG mack line, Step-by-Step line, TalkTrac. iTalk2. He also operates an assistive technology and engineering consulting firm (Atec Inc.) and spent a number of years as a rehabilitation engineer at Gillette Children's Hospital. Wherever he is, Marty designs cost-effective, functional and simply elegant electronic solutions utilizing state of the art technology.

More about Marty:

His five kids keep him energized, and his wife (Amy) serves as his power supply, backup generator, and overall life support.

A true “enginerd”, he reads Circuit Cellar and plays Chess for fun.

Marty loves to play—on land (tennis, anyone?), on water (skiing and boating), underwater (scuba—doo) and sky (ready to solo).

His volunteer work has included interpreting for people who were deaf and blind, work at a camp for kids with disabilities, and serving at a homeless shelter.
