Nicholas Lee is a recent University of Minnesota graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a wide range of academic interests. He previously worked for Visteon Corporation as a manufacturing engineer co-op, refining manufacturing technologies and processes for automotive fuel pumps and delivery modules.

His affiliation with BlueSky Designs began with his Mechanical Engineering senior design project, where he assisted in the creation of a powered mounting arm for people with disabilities. Nick hails from a family of architects, and has always been interested in making “neat” stuff.

Spring 2005: Nick Lee graduates from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a 3.45 GPA!

Grew up in the tropical commonwealth of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (a far cry from Minnesota’s climate).

He speaks fluent Bahasa Melayu.

Enjoys climbing big rocks for fun. Prefers boulders and/or buildings without the use of ropes, harnesses, or climbing tools.

Kayaking crowning achievement: a 20 kilometer sea kayak trip when he was 10 years old.

Has an amazingly flexible diet. Can go from zero meals a day, to 7 meals a day.
